Obama Rallies OU in Historic Visit
As the first president to visit Athens since Clinton, Barack Obama presided over Ohio University’s college green Wednesday to a crowd of 14,000 people, some of whom had waited hours to see him. Fresh off of his townhall debate with Gov. Mitt Romney, President Obama gave special attention to the battleground states by traveling to Mount Vernon, Iowa, before coming to Athens in what was his sixteenth visit to the state with one goal in mind: get Ohio votes.
